Thank you for your welcome @Sandy_123. That's my dog Zack. He's a Cojack - which is an actual breed apparently. A Corgi crossed with a Jack Russell. That's a gorgeous looking cat in your profile image. Looks wise and cuddly and what a wonderful colour.
I'm sure I will engage with conversations as I see things and I can dip into.0 -
Yes look forward to seeing you around the forum
That's a nice name Jack, I've never heard of that breed before but then I'm mainly a cat person. My cats name was blue.1 -
@GF1007
Aww sorry today isn’t a good day for you, but glad your music helps, it’s great for making me feel better to.
Im ok thanks just feeling the cold, I can’t seem to heat my hands up. Iv got those hand warmers meant to put in gloves, but they help me just holding them, think I’m going to get one out to heat me up.Oh I’m living in the fast lane lol1 -
@Lou67 I have those hand warmers too. Very useful as are hot water bottles - could not do without them. I practicularly live with one or two of them strapped to me haha. Yep, we are living it large and in the fast lane haha. I often find gentle exercise with the fingers, hand and wrist helps also alongside the hand warmers. You take care and stay warm👍1

Hello @Hannah_Scope. Thanks for your welcome. I am very passionate about music. I have an unwiedly collection that I am always culling haha. Keeps me out of trouble 😆
Unfortunately I don't play any instruments. I had a chance when I was younger. It was either learn guitar or do a martial art - I chose the martial art. I felt that would get me 'the girl' faster haha. I was full of it back then and no, at the time it didn't get me the girl. So, it taught me a valuable lesson or two. One I was not going to be the next Bruce Lee and two girls are not really impressed by that stuff haha - well not the girls I met haha 😂😝0 -
Haha, it's "sod's law" as my grandmother would have said. Martial arts seems really cool though! What level did you reach?
I love music too, also quite eclectic but I always end up going back to Country Music.1 -
Hello again @Hannah_Scope. I hope you are doing well. Haha yep "sod's law" or Murphy's Law. The martial art was very cool. It was a form of Ninjitsu I did. I didn't attain a great deal with the club (only 2 or so years) because it shut down and I couldn't be doing with Karate etc afterwards - did try. I wanted the clandestine side of things haha. We did stuff for charity too like parachuting and demonstrations with the Red Cross.
Seems like a lifetime ago now. Several actually. I was so fit and healthy. Ho hum haha. Anyway, glad I did what I did and certainly something to be proud of.
Music has always been one of my main passions and country is certainly a genre I like to dabble with. Inc. bluegrass and other crossover paths. You cannot go wrong with a bit of Baillie & The Boys, Cathryn Craig, Haley Sisters (The), Tracy Lawrence, Lila McCann, James House, Diamond Rio, Blue Rodeo, Blackhawk, Pam Tillis etc etc and of course the classics, Dolly, Kenny et al.1 -
With the classics you of course cannot forget the eternally great, Mr George Strait
It is definitely something to be proud of. The amount of times someone has suggested a jump for charity and I'll volunteer to buy snacks!1 -
I totally agree @Hannah_Scope. George Strait is one of the greats👍
Haha I'd be there for the snacks (as long as I could eat them with my tum haha) but my days of jumping out of perfectly sound/flying aircraft is well and truly in my rear view. I actually have to say I didn't enjoy it but did it twice. Enough for anyone haha. Thats me on the left. This was taken around 1993/94 if I remember correctly? Not a great pic but it was taken with a disposable.0 -
Just adding a hello from me @GF1007 good to see you join us, and see you settling in
If you need a hand with anything on the community, please ask!1 -
@Alex_Scope hello. Thanks for the welcome. Can I ask what the Messages function is and how you use it? Many thanks👍0
-
Of course, the 'messages' function allows you to privately message other users once you gain 25 points using the community. From looking at your profile, you should have this unlocked.
To start a new message click the pencil and paper icon, or 'new massage' if you're on the messages page. Does that make sense?1
