Hello I applied for LCWRA in 2021 due to PTSD depression and Anxiety.

got round to April 2022 done the assessment then couple days after I got my decision of it being LCW which isn’t the payable one.

would I be able to appeal this decision still or is it way too late. Or can I reapply?

Many thanks

You have 13 months in which to request the Mandatory Reconsideration from the date the decision was made, so you haven't got long left. As you're outside of the 1 month timescale you'll need to give a reason why you didn't request it within this time. If they refuse you just proceed to Tribunal.

Please also be aware that it's not about a diagnosis, it's how your conditions affect your ability to do any type of work. You can see the descriptors here for LCWRA. https://www.benefitsandwork.co.uk/universal-credit-uc/uc-faq/limited-capability-for-work-related-activity

They will not take into consideration any worsening of condition since the assessment took place.

I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying.
If i see a question that i know the answer to i will try my best to help.
