It's nothing to be concerned about, it just means the report will be being checked to see if it's of good quality, which happens on occasion. This will delay things somewhat, but hopefully it won't be too long until it's sorted. It's often better to just wait for your actual decision letter, as the assessor's report is just a recommendation.

Thank you yes you are right, it's my second time applying and it looks like this time it's been a paper based review. Tbh I should have been awarded first time , didnt have the energy to go for mr0
-
Chiarieds do you know if paper based are usually more successful they did ring my daughter who did a cover letter but didnt ring me0
-
Sorry, I've just seen your later comments. If you didn't have a telephone assessment, then it's likely it was indeed paper based. We can't know for certain about your claim, but, in general, paper based assessments seem to have a favourable outcome. Did they ring your daughter just to ask a few questions, or is she perhaps your appointee?

No problem your help is much appreciated x. They just rang her and asked questions, she wasnt an appointee but helps me a lot with my difficulties, they were talking to her for about half an hour0
-
You don't need to be an appointee for them to ring you to ask some questions. In another thread you said your daughter wrote you a supporting letter. If she put her details on the letter then this will be why they contacted her. They wouldn't know her contact details unless either of you told them.

Poppy123456 yes thank you this thread was asking about sending my application to audit0

So update today, I rang dwp to ask where my report was only to be told that capita should not have contacted my daughter and discuss sensitive information. The assessors report gave me enhanced for both but because the assessor broke the rules in obtaining the information I have been told they will have to so the whole assessment again0
-
When you ring DWP you are speaking to someone from a call centre and not someone from DWP.I don’t understand why your daughter shouldn’t have been contacted because if she put her contact details on the supporting letter then yes they can contact her. There’s no rules against this. The assessor doesn’t award any points, they make recommendations only. Only a decision maker can award points.Has the assessment report been returned for any reason? You can ring Capita to ask them.0

Hi I initially got through to the call centre but they spoke to their case manager who transferred me to the compliance centre. It was her that said it should not have been done. She said from her system my report had been sent back to capita for reassessment and she is going to ring me tommorow once she has found out what's going on0
-
Yes sorry recommended points were enhanced in both0
-
I’ve never heard of anything like this happening before.0

Tbh the dwp lady was full of apologies almost like she was expecting me to go berserk, I told her I'm not bothered I've been totally honest and my daughter knows about most of my issues , I think they are trying to cover themselves in case I complained.0

Just an update, I received a call from a dwp nurse yesterday just to ask a couple of things 5 minutes max. She said it looks like I will be awarded then this morning got a text saying received report but I already got that text 3 weeks ago ???0
-
In a previous comment you said the report was sent back to the health assessment providers. The text today was likely referring to the fact it's now been returned again.

I found out it had not been returned and they were using my daughters call as the assessment if I was happy for them to do that. She just rang to clarify a couple of things and said there is an award but didnt say what it was , surely I havent got to wait another 8 weeks0
-
There's no award until the decision's been made. Nothing more you can do but wait until you receive official confirmation of the decision.

Yes you're right. Thank you for replying0

Hi update, I was given paper based received text to say report received etc, then told they might re assess , then told they aren't going to re assess. Then last week had a call from someone who said they were from dwp she asked a few questions then told me I would have an award and I should hear shortly about back dated amount. So then I get text saying report received??? So I rang dwp who said no decision has been made it is not showing pip award and they have no record of calling me last week and it was probably capita . So I asked for a copy of the report and he said I will have to check which one I can send out as there are 2 reports , I feel like I'm losing the plot altogether0

It sounds like they aren't communicating well with each other, I hope you get an answer and the report soon!0
