Once I've requested a mandatory reconsideration for LCWRA (I've been awarded LCW) How long do I have to collect any evidence please?and what sort of evidence is accepted?
Thank you in advance 😊

My advice is not to request it until you have the evidence you want. Once you request it the time starts ticking and a decision could be made at anytime, they do not have to wait to receive any evidence. Though the timescales for MR's are anything up to 12 weeks.Evidence should state exactly how your conditions affect you. Things like diagnosis are not needed because it's not about a diagnosis. What you need to do is state which descriptor you think applies to you and your reasons why. You can see those descriptors here and only 1 needs to apply the majority of the time. https://www.benefitsandwork.co.uk/universal-credit-uc/uc-faq/limited-capability-for-work-related-activity

Hi,following on from my last post. I've been in touch with my mental health practitioner who has said it would cost £40 for a supporting letter. Would it be of any help to get one or will it only state my diagnosis?0

It will depend what exactly they will write in that letter. If it’s just diagnosis or medication etc etc then no, I wouldn’t pay £40 for that.1
