For the SDP you must be claiming daily living PIP, live alone or treated as living alone and no one must be claiming either carers allowance or carers element of Universal Credit for looking after you. You will need to ring Income Support to apply. The disability premium should be automatically added to your Income Support.0

Yes I live alone and get the daily living component of pip and no one claims carers allowance or element. How much would it be that I would be entitled to and once I phone how long would it take for them to process the payment and is it backdated0

From 10th April it increased to £76.40/week. Before that it was £69.40/week. It can be backdated to the start of your PIP award, if you were entitled to it at that time. Usually a few weeks at the most if you ring to apply. If you apply through the paper form then it can take longer.

You will need to ask them to backdate it to the start of your PIP award (if entitled at that time)

You will receive the decision letter. As previously advised, usually a few weeks at the most for a decision.
