PIP Renewal Decision Text

Hi everyone. I done a telephone assessment for my pip renewal last month or so. Today I received a text saying

“Your PIP review is complete. You should receive your decision letter in 2 weeks. Once you receive your letter, contact us if you have any questions. Do not call before you get the letter as we will not be able to tell you the decision. Please remember to contact us if your circumstances change.”

Has anyone else received this and still got rewarded? Because I'm seeing that some people get a similar text to this but it states that they “have been awarded pip”. Is my text a code for a rejection?

have a lovely day! Thank yoU

There's been a few threads in the past few days where members have received this exact same text. It's new for DWP to send this sort of text for reviews.

The texts people receive when they've been awarded are related to new claims only, not reviews.

The text you received isn't an indication of anything other than your review has been completed. You can ring PIP to ask what the decision is and they may tell you. Other than that you'll need to wait for the decision letter.

Thank you for clarifying it! Yeah it must be a new text, i searched the exact text on google and no discussion about was made. Hopefully I don't have to wait another 2 weeks for a result, its been 1.5 years for this renewal process. It's been draining!

    Hello

I just received this text today after my PIP review has been in for 11 months...I will post when I find out the result in 2 weeks by letter, it has been extremely stressful and my mental health has worsened during this time due to the stress

Even though the text advises you not to ring, you can ring to ask what the decision is and they will tell you.

Hi @itllbe0k, as Poppy has mentioned you can call up to get an answer instead of waiting if it'll help with the worry 🙂 I know the PIP process is really stressful but you've got through the forms and the assessment, just waiting to see what the decision is now 😊 Mind do have some tips that might help deal with the stress, you can check them out here: Managing stress and building resilience - tips - Mind

    How are you doing today?
