Hi, I'm writing this on behalf of a friend as they struggling a lot with their mental health,
They have been award lwrca and wasn't sure if they was due a backpayment.
Dates as followed 31th August 2022 has a health condition that restricts their ability to work or look for work.
First sick note October 26th 2022
26th April 2023 awarded lwrca
24th 2023 May first payment
Its been over a month and he hasn't heard anything, after trying to work it out I believe it would be 2-4 month depending in if its 3 months from first sick note or first health report.

If the health condition was reported in August 2022 and they didn’t send the first fit note until Oct 2022 then it’s very likely that’s where they will go from.If they do that the waiting period will be Nov to Feb.. LCWRA starts from assessment period 18th Feb to 17th March and first payment will be 24th March. Therefore they are owed 2 months LCWRA element,1
