You don't mention which benefit this is related to so i'll assume it's PIP. If so then up to 12 weeks once the report is returned to DWP.

Sorry yes pip. Wow another 12 weeks. The wait is worse than the assessment!!0

Hello @sewell72
Welcome to the community!Hope you are well today?
I hope you hear sooner rather than later! Just to let you know, I popped your thread into our PIP, DLA and AA section of the forum, in case you had any other queries.0 -
Thank you. Been 19 weeks. Rang today and they said they will ask case manager if he will pull it to top of file due to time. Im so anxious and worried.0
-
@sewell72 I'm so sorry it is making you anxious and worried. Do you have support around you?0
-
Yes my family. I check my texts every morning but understand not everyone gets a text0
-
Not everyone receives a text. Timescales are up to 12 weeks once the report was returned. If the report has only just been returned then it could be a while yet. Nothing more you can do but wait.

So anxiety got the better of me! Rang pip for update lady said my deadline was 13th june so one week over. (20 weeks today since claiming). Apparently she said everything is where it should be ie; with case manager but things are taking up to 35 weeks! I can't imagine waiting much longer. Its making me feel sick.0

Oh @sewell72
Hopefully it doesn't take that long! Have you reached out to your family for support? After the storms this week we are supposed to have lovely weather again. What are you going to plan to get up to?

Thank you for your kind reply. Only have hubby and kids and they all work long hours! My work is ringing me daily to go back. Been off 10 weeks so they not happy. I have fibromyalgia, rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis plus achilles tendonitis so work is too painful. I'm a nurse.0

I really don't know how they can possibly give a deadline for the decision to be made. Once the report is returned to DWP a decision can take anything up to 12 weeks. I see your report was also in audit, which will have delayed the decision making process because it can't be made until the report was returned. All cases are different, some take longer than others.

@sewell72 Oh that mustn't help, having them call you all the time. I'd be putting my phone on do not disturb
We play games, have debates and generally get to know each other over in the Coffee Lounge
Be lovely to see you there.

-
Fingers crossed!!0

So today I receive a letter saying they have all the info to make a decision! Should I have got a text? Is that standard? 21 weeks now!

Not everyone receives the text. It's a standard letter.

Worried now as decision seems imminent! Got a bad feeling0

sewell72 said:Worried now as decision seems imminent! Got a bad feelingYou can't speculate anything from a single standard text. It means nothing other than what it states. I don't understand why so many people assume it's a bad thing. Some have decisions quite quickly after that letter and others don't. It has been known for people to be awarded regardless of how long it takes after that letter.0

Finally after 22 weeks ive received the we awarded you pip text. Thank goodness.1

That's great news @sewell72! Bet you feel so relieved0
