Not sure if I can cope
Just wanted to put this down , I have real anxiety over my situation,
I live with my girlfriend and she doesn't work I've had incapacity but she can't budget and I've managed to get a job with Amazon delivery I haven't done any driving yet just passed tests, I am trying to stay calm about this job, but my girlfriend is complaining about my hours that I haven't even done yet. I am ready to quit before I start, but we can't live on the universal credit. I am getting to the point, I just feel like there is no point in carrying on.

Hi @frood, I am so sorry to hear that. Looks like you are trying everything to make lives ok for you both. First of all, obviously there is a point of carrying on, that point is YOU:-)And you do whatever you think is good for you. Not sure why your girlfriend is complaining, she does understand you are struggling with money? I know some people cannot budget, did you try to talk to her about it, maybe making financial decisions together? I think you are doing amazing, trying to go to work to make things better, you should be proud of yourself.0

Thankyou so much for those words it hard when perhaps your just trying and being put down. I tend to try by best to make everyone in my life happy but it takes it out of me sometimes, I will probably just carry on and see how it goes . Thankyou again1

Hello @frood
Welcome to the community!
I'm sorry you are having such anxiety over your situation. I just wanted to let you know there are many charities out there who are great to talk to about your anxiety. Like SHOUT, who are a 24/7 texting service. I would encourage you to speak to your GP too. Can I ask, does your girlfriend have anxiety too? They may be helpful for her as well.
Budgeting has been difficult for many, especially with the Cost of Living Crisis. Citizen's Advice has some great resources, if you think they'd be helpful to read.
I think it's amazing you have gotten a job with Amazon, congratulations! Scope have an Employment Services section with lot's of resources if you feel you need some additional support. Please keep us updated!1 -

Does your girlfriend know how you are feeling? I know it can be difficult to explain things to family that are simple to describe to complete strangers. My husband has had his own difficulties and then got hit with mine and doesn't understand how I feel because 'it's different'.
You are trying to make things better for yourself. Some of our Amazon delivery drivers are really lovely people. Well done on passing the driving tests, that must have been a trial in itself.
I hope you find some help from @Hannah_Scope's suggestions.
Good luck!0 -
Yes she doesn't care told me to cut my wrists she can't live on less money that's why I'm working I'm sure we will get along when the money starts coming in0
