If you're awarded a higher award and you reported changes to your health condition then it will apply from the date you rang to report the changes, assuming you had the changes for at least 3 months.

If the award stays the same you won't be owed anything. If refused your PIP will stop.

If there's any money owed it can take 3-5 working days to go into your bank.

@poppy123456 ah okay thank you I’m going to ring the automated line at 9am to see if it will tell me an amount but it might not be changed yet due to having to wait for the systems to refresh and stuff

The automated payment line has been known to give incorrect information. You can ring the helpline to ask what the award is and hopefully they will be able to tell you.

@poppy123456 yeah I went through to speak to them she told me everything is staying the same but my award has been extended another year they did say they owe me money but it will be paid on the 11th July but that’s when I get paid my pip so I’m abit confused to if I’m being paid double or if that’s just my actual pay

I have no idea how they worked that one out. You can't be owed anything if your award has stayed the same. Your payments will just continue as normal.

Whether it's possible to score more points for a higher award will depend on how your conditions affect you. A worsening of condition doesn't automatically entitle you to more points for a higher award.

When ringing PIP you're speaking to someone from a call centre who often give some terrible advice. As you're award has stayed the same there's nothing to owe you because you've been receiving 4 weekly payments while waiting for the decision. I don't think there's any need to ring them again.
