Hello,

I have been awarded the Lcwra payment on the 17th of May 2023. However, I sent my first fit note in on the 13th of December 2022. I have received my first payment on the 9th of June without any backdated pay. On my decision letter it does say under What happens next
Changes to your payments will show up on your statement when they happen. Your extra LCWRA payment will not include any back payment for the relevant period.

Does that mean I will not receive any back payment from when I sent my first fit note or just for the 3 month waiting period?

Thanks in advance

Backdated entitlement will be paid separately and UC have to calculation the amount due before they can pay it.

You are not entitled to any LCWRA for the waiting period.

I infer that your UC monthly period is 3rd to 2nd of the month.

You reported your condition on 13th December. The three month period ends on 13th March. LCWRA entitlement starts in the next monthly period 3rd April to 2nd May (payable on 9th May).

Assuming your payment on 9th June included the LCWRA element you are owed arrears for the May payment (one month).

Typo here, this should be "not" entitled.

Thank you @calcotti do you know when I will receive the back dated pay for May? And is that the Lcwra payment included with Uc or just Lcwra?

LCWRA is part of UC so it will be paid in with your usual payment. Money owed will be paid separately and often takes quite a few weeks to pay it.

Just an update on the situation. I have now received my second Lcwra payment with no backpay? Do I need to inform someone or is this normal and will receive it eventually?
    Thanks

They owe you for May's payment if you didn't receive it. Put a message on your journal under the payment section and ask about the 1 months LCWRA element they owe you.

Can i just check that the 13th December was the date you actually reported your first fit note?
