Hi, I have been taking Escitalopram for 2 years now, 15 mg. It has really helped lift me but it seems to have brought on really severe arthritis or rheumatism in joints, has anyone else had this problem

Has anyone suffered from severe arthritis or rheumatism form taking Escitalopram or other forms of anti depressants.
Thank you0 -
Hi Sandy, Joint pain seems to have accelerated since starting the pills, first 3 weeks was terrible, palpitations and extreme perspiration, but after that they worked brilliantly.
Am now in the process of weaning down, went down to 12.5 mg for 2 months and just about to go to 10, see how it goes0 -
You may need a different one that doesn't effect your joints. It's hard sometimes getting the right one that suits. Same with painkillers it's not unusual to swap and change and mix different ones before finding one that works.1
