Hi,
We sent the PIP applications forms off 11 weeks ago for our Autistic/ADHD son, and received a text today to say the PIP written report has been done, and to now wait for the decision.
Is this usual to have no telephone or face to face assessment? Is it a good or a bad thing?
Thank You for any insight anyone has.

He will have had a paper-based assessment based on the form and evidence supplied, they are rare to have but are seen as a good thing. He will receive a decision within 12 weeks.1

Thank you. We were very careful in giving specific examples and how many days out of 7 etc they affected him etc on the form. Maybe this helped.0

This sounds helpful @Lou1529. How are you feeling about everything at the moment?1

Hi @Lou1529 I am interested to hear how this claim turns out as your son has some overlapping conditions with mine. I am yet to start my claim but I am going to provide so much information up front I hope it will help make my case strong. Please let us know how it goes!1

Hi all,
the assessor rang today to confirm a couple of details, they were able to confirm that PIP has been awarded! Really quick decision once assessment made, they were very nice. I’m so pleased. Good luck to anyone else, it seemed daunting but was worth it.0
