Morning all , does anyone know if the dose and strength of the medication you are on being increased has a bearing on your PIP award please . I was initally awarded Standard daily living in 2020 and was taking Zapain from pain relief .Since this i have been taking daily 75 mg of Amitryptaline and 30 g Morphine for my Fibromyalgia pain. I am also currently awaiting an MRI for possible diagnosis of MS but have not informed DWP yet as i have no diagnosis as yet. I am in the queue for an assessment but i don`t know why as nothing had changed apart from my medicationbeen changed to morphine .
Do i need to inform DWP i am awaiting MRI for MS or wait until i have a diagnosis
many thanks xx

This isn't a change of circumstances that needs to be reported. Same if you have a new diagnosis. PIP isn't about a diagnosis. If you report changes they will send you more forms to fill in and return and another assessment is most likely.Your award could either stay the same, be increased or stopped completely. Before reporting any changes you need to fully understand the descriptors and what they mean to make sure it's possible to score more points for a higher award.0
