Hi
Hopeing someone may be able to answer my questions if possible and make some sense of what I'm confused about.
Today on my journal we have been told our uc claim is getting reviewed and they would like some information from our selfs me and my partner a joint claim it is.
They have asked for photo I'd passport etc.
Which is fine makes sense as they haven't had a updated one in the 5 years of our claim. Which is fine.
The next one is they have asked for copies of our bank statements.
4 months worth.
Which need to include incoming transactions and out going transactions.
Plus they need to include start balance and end balance each month.
Again I understand they want a few months worth to see a board scope of things I get this.plus I get they want to see what gets paid in to the accounts to make sure they have the same information we have told them I get this aswell full transparency each have the same.
The thing I don't get and don't agree with is the out going transactions why they need to know what we are spending our money on and how much we spend basically.
And why they need copies of out balances beginning and end of each month.
We are not under investigation for fraud or misleading information or failure to declare anything to them.
So the out goings.and balances of our accounts I don't understand why?
Has anyone heard about this and if so do you know why they need this information. About this I would greatly appreciate your help and advice about this.
If.you need any more information please ask.
Cheers

Sounds to me like it's just a random review of your UC, which can happen. Yes, i would expect them to want to see the balance at the end of the month. Outgoings, i would only usually expect them to want to see that if there's anything in question, for example you once had over the savings limit and they want to check everything.0
