I'm receiving legacy benefit of income support and carers allowance, and just been awarded PIP. Also been awarded disability premium and Enhanced Disability Premium. Will they migrate me to UC? If so, will I lose my disability premium and Enhanced Disability Premium?

Yes, you will at some point be sent a letter to migrate to UC. You will have 3 months to do this, otherwise your Income Support will stop. It's only those claiming Income Related ESA that won't be migrated until at least 2028 (unless they claim tax credits)

There's no disability premiums payable on UC. When you do claim through managed migration there will be Transitional Support protection in place so you won't be worse off when you do claim it. However, the TP will erode over time, so if other elements increase the TP decreases until such a time it erodes completely.

Do you know if the UC will be the same as income support?

The exclusions applied to those claiming Severe disability Premium but that ended in January 2021.

UC is different to Income Support. As a carer though, you will not have any work requirements.
