How long to wait for pip assessment

Hello everyone I’m new here I’m just wondering if anyone would know the possible waiting times for pip assessment I have received a txt from ias 3 weeks ago but heard nothing since thanks

@chiarieds Right okay thank you I first applied 30th may they didn’t receive my form until 27th July got a txt same day from Ias saying they will contact me with appointment if needed I’ve got anxiety disorder and few other problems so I’m just really anxious with the wait and it’s even worse that there’s noway to contact them to see what’s going on0

That is a really long wait @zoet1 and I can hear how it is contributing to your anxiety. Is there anything, in particular, that usually helps you when you are feeling anxious or waiting? Please don't hesitate to let us know if there's anything we can do to help1

Hi @L_Volunteer thank you so much I have anxiety disorder and depression breathing problems and currently have severe back ache still waiting for hospital appointment im on meds for all of it but my anxiety is severe atm did have cbt treatment few weeks ago but hasn’t helped waiting for another cbt treatment intense not much help with my anxiety atm have severe panic attacks also and the waiting is making it worse however I know there nothing really that can be done it’s just a waiting game now thanks for your support I received a txt 4 weeks ago from ias but haven’t received anything about a assesment as of yet

@zoet1 I'm sorry it has been such a long wait for you. I hope the as the CBT continues, it helps. Or that they can offer another therapy that does. I am also wishing you all the best with your hospital appointment! Please keep us updated1
