I first joined UC on 5th of may 2023. Had my first fit note submitted on the 10th of may. I had my LCWRA decision made on the 23rd of June. I’m just unsure of how the waiting period thing works and when I’d start being paid the extra money.

If you reported your health condition when you first claimed UC on 5th May, your waiting period will be May/June, June/July, July/August... LCWRA starts from assessment period 5th August to 4th Sept and first payment will be 11th September. No LCWRA element is owed.If you or a partner were receiving any earnings since you claimed UC and you didn't previously have the work allowance then you'll be owed some money for that.0
