hi I was wondering if anyone could advise me I have been on universal credit for 5 years and my daughter got dla middle rate for a month a month later got high rate I didn’t inform universal credit as I didn’t know there were two different rates and only just noticed can anyone advise me

    You need to put a message on your journal and tell them that your daughter is now claiming high rate care DLA. The higher disabled child element will be paid from the assessment period in which the changes took place. It may take a few weeks for a decision to be made.
    I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying.

    Will they back date it as it was my error and it’s been 5years

    You should receive what is owed to you. You must remember that all changes need to be reported.

    2008? was that a typo and you meant 2018? as i advised, you should be paid what is owed to you.
