Carers Allowance

I have been a carer for a woman fo a number of years now but i have recently reached retirement age and i have been told my carers allowance will be stopped, i applied for tax credits but have been turned down, aparently i might be eligable for underlying entitlement to carers allowance. how do you apply for this. ?

    That would be added to your pension credit if you're eligible for that @tanya4245. Do you claim housing benefit or anything else?

    I am applying for housing benefit this weekend. The refused pension credits !
