Hi

so I received a text message from DWP that my work capability assessment is by telephone next week.

My previous assessments have been face to face. So first time telephone.

I have really bad anxiety and I’m not looking forward to this telephone call at all but I’m in one way just wanting to get it over and done with and deal with the outcome after as this has caused me even more problems since the forms came through the door on top of my mental health disability.

Anyways, recently I received two telephone calls from DWP health assessment centre and I can’t use my phone because of how bad my anxiety is so I couldn’t answer. No voicemail was left.
My appointment is next week so why would they be calling me now.

What could this be?

    Hi Deppi

So I received a text message first to confirm my wca appointment telephone for next week.

On the same day I received a text message I then got a call later in the afternoon. Didn’t answer and my carer called the assessment service back and spoke to someone who said to confirm my appointment was next week and was not sure what the call was for.

Then this morning received another call from WCA people but couldn’t answer.

My carer will be with me and will be speaking on my behalf on my telephone wca

    Hi Deppi

    Thank you for helping me

I am waiting to see but no other telephone calls from them as of yet…

yes I’m dreading my assessment next week can’t stop panicking and have anxiety and depression low moods

trouble is when I’m like that I’m not sure what to exactly say to them or what questions will be asked on the telephone

i suffer really bad with my mental health and I’m scared if they ask me a question and I don’t answer straight away or if I can’t get my words out because of my anxiety they might think different of me

I want this to be over and done with !!!

You deserve all the support and kindness @Angel212. Is there anything that might help you whilst you wait for it to be over and done?

Also, do you have the support you need and deserve with your mental health disability at the moment? A strong support network can go a long way.

We are all here for you and listening to you if there's anything we can do to help  :)
