Hi all is it normaly for a DM to call you and speak to you to ask when your condtion got worse and what element you feel is worse and when month wise this year it got worse then for them to tell you there increasing your award and will be sending back pay?
I had my review assesment call from captia om 11th September then a text 3 days later to say dwp have the assement from then today on a Sunday morning at 11am the pip helpline number called me and the lady ran through security to then ask me the above question she said the all is recored etc and when I asked how long the award would be for she said 3 years with a review sent out after 2. Can they change there mind? Even though the call was recored saying all of this? Also she said she will send out the paper work ASAP it just seems to good to be true? Also back payment for the higher rate of mobilty as I already got higher rate daily living do you reckon this would be from when I said my condtion goy worse in feb/March this year? And I didn't say my condtion got worse on the paperwork or on the assement call I'm just guessing cause my meds have been changed and given stronger ones they have guessed its got worse? Any advice please as im shocked at the min and don't belive this can be genuine I still feel they can change what the lady Said on the phone to me today.
Thank you

Yes it can happen, it’s rare but definitely possible. The same thing happened to me quite a few years ago.I can’t imagine for a minute that it isn’t genuine. You should receive the decision letter within the next couple of weeks.1

It was from the +448001214433 number which I belive is the dwp pip helpline but have you known or is there any chance they can change there mind after confirming this on a recored call? As she said it was recorded before she went any further for security with me and before she asked questions etc x0

I can’t tell you when it will be backdated to. You will need to wait for the decision letter. Or you can ring PIP tomorrow to ask and they will tell you.0
