OK so I have been on uc for few years, from April 24th I started handing in sick notes to uc journal, on 6th June I was sent a journal letter saying I would receive a form to fill in for health assessment. The form was filled in and sent back, I was then later asked to have a phone call consultation, proceeding that assessment I received journal entry that I have been awarded lcwra on the 14th September, looking online it says I should be paid this element 3 months from 1st informing uc of illness, but is that in the form of the sick notes or the assessment?? I'm so confused with it all and getting no reply from uc 😫

What advice would you like? You will need to give some information before anyone can try to help or advise you.
I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying.
If i see a question that i know the answer to i will try my best to help.

@poppy123456 I think your messages crossed. The OP wrote a second message, but posted seconds before you, giving a few dates and details. You may have missed it, so I thought to let you know.
Thanks for this. You are correct, I didn’t see the 2nd comment when I posted mine.

@andie79 the waiting period starts from when you first reported your health condition. Providing you sent a fit note within 7 days of that and continued to send them without any gaps until a decision was made on the WCA.

Based on the information you gave your first payment will be either Aug or September.

The exact date will depend on what date you usually receive your money each month.

I'm so sorry I don't know how to reply so just doing a new message. @poppy123456 I usually get paid on 22nd of each month, I didn't have breaks in between sick notes but my last one I forgot to upload to my journal🙈 not sure if that matters, I haven't received any lcwra payment, so should I assume they will go from assessment date? My assessment was on 10th August.

As you didn’t provide details of your last fit note then there was a gap, which can affect when the extra money is paid from. It will be down to a decision maker to make the final decision but it maybe from the date the decision was made.

You can try to report that last fit note and tell them that you forgot to report it when you should have. There’s no guarantee that they will accept it.

but it maybe from the date the decision was made.

Just to add more information here. If it does go from then, it will apply from the assessment period in which the decision was made.
