Hi, my name is poptom! What work can I do while claiming UC?
Hi there I’m on pip and universal credit I suffer from autism, anxiety and depression I’m only 24 but I feel trapped with no help I would like to come out the house to seek training or some form of employment but being on benefits due to my conditions being so unpredictable I don’t know where I stand in regards to losing my benefits and working part time etc

Heya @poptom and a big ole welcome to the community!
You're in good hands here as our regulars are very knowledgeable in the field of benefits. So what I'll do is rename and move your post, so more people will be able to see and hopefully give you all the answers you need.
I totally get that it's a minefield knowing what you can and can't do whilst on benefits, but good on you for wanting to get out there and try some new things, that's a big step.0 -
Hi @poptom - & welcome to the community from me also. Your PIP would not be affected at all, as you can work & claim this, & you wouldn't have to declare you're working. With UC, have you declared that you have a health condition? There's some info here: https://www.gov.uk/universal-credit/how-your-earnings-affect-your-payments UC will depend on your earnings as you will see, but you can work as many hours as you want. You would need to report to UC if you start working.
