There seem to be lots of concerns about timescales for pip reviews so I thought I would just share my experience as it may be useful to some.
I telephoned to request a review on 10/05/23.
Pip acknowledged my completed form by text on 07/06/23.
I had my telephone assessment on 09/08/23.
On 04/10/23 I got the text advising review complete. Letter in 2 weeks.
My decision letter arrived today 09/10/23.
I did not get any extra benefits and my review date was reduced to three years. I think to tie in with disabled badge.
It was interesting that the decision maker did not agree with the assessor when allocating points.
It took a couple of hours to speak to somebody and get my reconsideration started. A very nice man went through each question and added notes to the ones I disagreed with. I now have to wait up to 8 weeks while I am reassessed. Hope this is useful to somebody.

I think the blue badge is irrelevant to the timescale of the award. When you filled out the form did you give as much relevant information as possible and treat it as a new claim?

If you rang to report a wosening of condition then this doesn't automatically entitle you to more points for a higher award.

I'd advise you to put the MR request in writting and not rely on the person you spoke to, to type all the information you told them. You should state where and why you think you should have scored those points. If you didn't include a couple of real world incidents of exactly what happened the last time you attempted each descriptor that applies to you then you should do that. Adding detailed information such as where you were, what exactly happened, did anyone see it and what the consequences were. You should aim for at least half an A4 side of paper per descriptor that applies to you.

Timescales for MR are up to 12 weeks, rather than the 8 weeks you were advised.

As I said I was just sharing my personal experience.
You might want to work on your tone poppy123456. It's not very welcoming frankly.

I'm sorry you think my "tone" wasn't nice, i can assure you that nothing bad was meant on my part. I wasn't aware that there was any tone to text speak.

I was simply advising that when requesting the MR you should put this in writing, rather than do it over the phone.
