Is renewal of pip quicker than original assessment?

Had my renewal of pip is this quicker than original assessment

    Do you mean you filled in the form and returned it? Or have you now had the assessment and waiting for a decision?

    If you haven't yet had the assessment then waiting times are extremely long in most areas. Some are waiting as long as a year for a decision. Your PIP will continue in the meantime.

    If you've had the assessment then a decision can take up to 12 weeks once the report is returned.
