Hi I had a random phone call with a private number for my husband today. They told me it was an independent assesment for pip but we never had any letter so this was random. I explained my husband wasn't well and was asleep and could she ring tomorrow. So she said that's fine but I thought you was sent a letter before the assessment and as it's private I don't know who called. Has anyone had this before

I'm wondering if they just wanted to ask some questions to see if they can write the report without the need for a full assessment. When this happens they don't send out appointment dates/times they will just ring.
