PIP, do they contact the numbers given?

Hi, in the PIP how your disability affects you form, at the end I wrote names and numbers of doctors to contact. Do they use these contacts to collect evidence or to clarify what I wrote for supporting evidence? I’m hoping this is the case because I feel it would work in my favour but I’m unsure.

Unfortunately, it’s rare for them to contact anyone.
I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying.
If i see a question that i know the answer to i will try my best to help.

As poppy rightly says its rare for them to do so, its unto you to provide relevant evidence if you have any.
