AA is for those of state pension age and above. It doesn't have the mobility part. There's some information here. https://www.independentage.org/get-advice/money/benefits/attendance-allowance

    Hello @maursie

Welcome to the community! :) I see Poppy has answered your query about Attendance Allowance. I'm so sorry to hear you've been in paint for so long. I wanted to check in an ask if you have support around you?

Hello Hanna, thank you for your replies,I've only just seen them. Yes I do have my husband who I am very fortunate to have I know. I have been feeling very sorry for myself lately as I am in so much pain with my knee and lower leg.I have been diagnosed with severe osteoarthritis in the knee due to an old injury about 30yrs ago, broken tibia and tibia also bone sticking through the anckle.I had operation with rod and screws which are still in..uk leg is very deformed having got extremely worse over last few years.I have been referred to consultant last week to look a knee replacement but I believe it would be with complications.I am in excruciating pain dispute co codamol 8 daily and high strength naproxen 2 a day.All my other chronic back and pelvic pain is made worse because of the pain in leg. Thank you for listening to me and sorry for ranting on for so long. Maursie.xx
