I know August seems quite a long time, but for PIP and many other benefits, the waiting time for claims to be processed can be several months. What you was told on the phone simply means that a Case Manager will get round to making a decision soon and nothing else. As for the assessment report, this is a recommendation only and isn't exactly 'binding' meaning that the final say is actually down to the Case Manager who can go against it (extremely rare).
That being said, I do hope the decision goes in your favour and you hear back from them shortly. If awarded, you'll most likely find a backdated payment in your bank account before a letter gets to you.0 -
It’s only as I called and was told i would here a decision within 2 weeks as the lady on the phone wrote to the case manager while I was on the phone to her
Just hope I hear soon thanks for your feedback

I don't know how they can predict when a decision will be made. Timescales are up to 12 weeks once the report was returned. Once it's made you will be contacted.

I’ve been told lot of different time scales so that’s why I thought I’d come and ask on here
has anyone applied in august and heard anything many thanks 😊0 -
That’s because all areas and each individual case will be different. Timescales once the report was returned is up to 12 weeks. Some people will of course wait less than this and others longer.Nellanoo92 said:I’ve been told lot of different time scales so that’s why I thought I’d come and ask on here

Heya @Nellanoo92 and welcome to the community!
I can see you're already getting some top advice, but I thought I'd pop in and say hi.

I understand that just when you get told false information it’s annoying0

When you ring PIP it’s a call centre you’re speaking to and not someone from DWP itself. They often tell you what you want to hear.Nellanoo92 said:I understand that just when you get told false information it’s annoying0 -

has anyone applied in august and heard anything many thanks 😊I applied end of August, submitted online PIP form towards end of September, had assessment 8 Nov and decision letter dated 14 November. It seemed very quick for mine .0 -
Hi yes I found out that they requested further evidence of my GP they have sent the it back now..How long after your decision did you receive your payment? X

I’d successfully awarded and you’re not transferring from DLA then money is usually in the bank 3-5 working days after payment was sent.
Timescales for a decision is still up to 12 weeks after the report was returned. Theres no timescales for any stage after that.0
