Hi, I am asking for Mandatory Reconsideration, checking descriptors again to make sure I know what to say. My claim is based mainly on the first descriptor, which I was almost sure I will pass. It says :Activity 1:" Moving around without the help of another person – including using a walking stick, manual wheelchair or other aid you could use." My understanding was, I need to be able to move around WITHOUT help, also without help of wheelchair, but when I received decision, they said I could move in a wheelchair. I thought I can read and understand reading text, but now I doubt myself, how do you understand it? So basically almost everyone can work, just stick them in a wheelchair, now it is just a case to find them all jobs:-) It would be funny, if it wouldn't cost me a headache everyday. Si yeah, sorry for moan, I want to know your thoughts before I write letter to UC, thank you:-)

It’s mobilising descriptor, rather than moving around. Yes, they also consider your ability to use a self propelled wheelchair for this descriptor. If you’re unable to use this then you will need to give your reasons why. As well as reasons why you can’t mobilise more than 50 metres. https://www.benefitsandwork.co.uk/universal-credit-uc/uc-faq/limited-capability-for-work-related-activity#:~:text=LCWRA%20descriptors-,1.,reasonably%2C%20be%20worn%20or%20used.&text=(ii)%20repeatedly%20mobilise%2050%20metres,of%20significant%20discomfort%20or%20exhaustion.0

Thanks Poppy, yeah, I misunderstood that, cannot believe we should just all jump on wheelchairs and then what? Magically find jobs in area which matching our skills AND are wheelchair user friendly. And try to survive without money until we find the job. Unbelievable. Well, I messaged them, not hoping for a lot, but I will fight till the end:-)0
