Good evening all,
I have been diagnosed with Periferal nerve damage to my left leg following a 10 hour operation for Colorectal Bowel surgery, so does anyone within the community know if it's worth my putting in a claim for PIP .

Hi @Dazzaboy1969 - & welcome to the community from me also. I'm sorry to read you have peripheral nerve damage following surgery, which I hope was otherwise successful.

PIP isn't about any diagnoses, but rather how your disabilities affect certain activities of daily living &/mobility. You can see what's looked at here: https://www.cambridgeshire.gov.uk/asset-library/personal-independence-payment-descriptors-and-scores-april-2023.pdf

You need 8 points or more to get the standard rate of PIP, & 12 points or more for the enhanced rate.
