in Universal Credit (UC)
Help I'm totally confused. Was awarded LCWAWRA in Oct backdated to 4th Aug. UC assessment periods are 26th to 25th. When will I get my first payment? I assumed Aug-Sept, Sept-Oct, Oct - Nov and first payment in Nov-Dec.. Case manager is useless and now says first payment in Dec - Jan payment..

    Hi @Jazzyb - & welcome to the community. Was 4th Aug when you rerported your health condition & supplied a fit note? Also have your fit notes been continuous until you got your LCWRA decision?
    If so, then the 3 months waiting period you've shown is correct, but as the LCWRA element is paid in arrears, it's due from assessment period 26 Nov -25 Dec, & first payment would be in the following assessment period.

    Yes fit notes all up to date. Thanks for clarifying.. Case manager never ever mentioned payment in arrears. It's so confusing. Why do they make it so difficult
