GERD and CP

Hello, we have a teenager with Hemiplegia, ASD and GAD (Generalised Anxiety Disorder) Since being 5 years old he's suffered with acid reflux / heartburn. he's been taking omeprazole for the last few months, it worked for a few weeks but he is now back in a lot of discomfort. Is this something anyone else has experience with, what treatment was suggested / offered? we are back at the GP next week. many thanks
