I have just learned about Hypersexuality and due to my Autism I was wondering if this could be linked. Does anyone else relate to this or is it just me?

Not just you, I've read a lot about this and some research papers suggest a link betweem them (more commonly in men) and it's well known that autistic people experience sensations differently. As well as a link between autism and hypersexuality there's also a link between autism and asexuality which I find really interesting1

Hello @Biblioklept thank you for the message and for confirming that it is a condition and not just me.0

It's awful thinking or feeling like you're alone with something so glad that reassured you @Darryl1854 If you put a search in online there are lots of articles about it!

Hello @Gnu89 I would be interested as well, I think i need to look into it more0

Could it be related to hyperfocus in some way? The same thing that can cause overthinking and time dedication to a particular topic?0

I found a really interesting paper on the links between neurodivergence and hypersexuality.
But in true neuro-spicy fashion, I forgot to save the link and can't find it again today.
If I find it, I'll post it here for you all.1 -
An interesting topic. I think I may suffer from this to a degree as well.0
