Can DWP refuse to pay pip if you refused treatment? E.g. steroid injection for pain management which can potentially be for temporary pain management or may cure the problem, potential of side effects infections etc.

No. Many people claim PIP and decide not to take medication or have any treatment. I had a steroid injection quite a few years ago and because it didn't help at all i decided against having any further injections. It hasn't affected my PIP at all.

I'm another who refused further steroid injections due to problems which I later found out can cause issues with my disorder; it didn't affect my PIP claim either, neither had they helped in the long term.
