Hi all, I'm new here so apologies if I'm posting in the wrong place.
I applied for PIP back in July and received my decision 4th Nov- received 2 points so wasn't awarded, I put in a MR which they received 17th Nov, I received texts through out my claim last one being that they expect to look at my case by 12th Jan, I called yesterday morning at 10.30 as was feeling very anxious and just wondered if any updates and was told that a decision had been made 3rd Jan - which was yesterday, I asked what the decision was but they advised couldn't see what was in the letter and to wait for it to arrive, I've not had any text either way - is this normal?  I have a feeling the decision has not changed, feeling even more anxious at the thought of doing a tribunal appeal

Hi @trishr77 and welcome to the community. :)

Just to let you know I've turned your comment into its own post now, so more people will see it and be able to hopefully offer some top advice. I hope that's ok?

Sometimes texts aren't sent, so it's nothing unusual there.

Please try not to worry about a possible tribunal though.  I've been through two myself and found them to be a lot nicer than the usual DWP assessments. Though I'm keeping my fingers crossed your MR was successful!

Texts aren't always sent for MR decisions. The reason why they couldn't tell you what the decision was yesterday when you rang is because it takes up to 24 hours for them to be able to see that decision on the system. You can ring them back to ask them what the decision was and they should be able to tell you now.

Thank you both, I did call again earlier but they said the same thing - cant see what decision is, I tried option 6 also to see if any payment info was there but got put in a queue to talk to an advisor. I will await the letter, many thanks for your replies extremely grateful

@trishr77 Hi there, I just found this thread and wondered what your outcome was when you finally got the letter? Because I have exactly the same situation as you. Thank you :-)

Option 6 is for bereavements, seems its now option 7 that will tell you about payments. The option that says "talk to an advisor about something else".

They removed option 6 for the payment information quite sometime ago. When you press option 7 to speak to someone sometimes while you're waiting it may give you information about your next payment, if there's an award in place. However, this information shouldn't be relied on because very often it's incorrect.

When I had my review decision back in October, I rang to ask what the decision was and there was no payment information given to me while I waited to speak to someone.
