I was put in the support group July 2023. In my assessment report it said some improvements may be seen in 12 months. I phoned ESA the lady on the phone said I have only been put in the support group for 1 year untill July 2024 and that's when I will be re-assesd.chiarieds said:Hi @honda1 - when you're in the Support group, this is ongoing (no end date). Only a decision when reviewed could potentially change that.
I have done a lot of Google search and as you have said ESA has no end date. Do you think this is something new the DWP has introduced?

Unfortunately you can get 'incorrect advice;' if in the Support group, this doesn't just last a year, & there's no end date (potentially) until a decision is made on a future review, as you've found.

There’s been no changes in the rules. That timescale you’ve been given is regarding a review. However, that will only be a guide and nothing more. It doesn’t mean you will be reviewed at that time.
Chiarieds is correct and Support Group has no end date. The award is ongoing until a new decision says otherwise.2
