I was looking for someone to help? I was awarded Lwcra from the 11th September but wasn’t told anything else it was a simple note in my uc journal to confirm that I was awarded it but no other information except that I don’t need to hand in sick notes for now so what happens now?

Hi @kateh81 - & welcome to the community. Once awarded LCWRA, then that will continue until a decision is made on any future Work Capability Assessment (WCA).
Payments are worked out from the day you reported your health condition supported by a fit note. These fit notes should have been continuous until a decision was made on your WCA. What date was this first fit note, & do you now when your assessment periods are, or what date each month do you normally get a UC payment?

Hi, thanks for the response, yes so I started in 11th September went to a meeting with them where they said that I would be awarded from the 11th, I’m not due to be paid my uc until 21st of this month, they didn’t give me any information at all even though I repeatedly asked all they kept replying was that I was awarded n that was all.

Thank you for replying. If 11 Sept was when you provided your 1st fit note, & there were no gaps until you received your decision, then there's a full 3 months waiting period (Sept -Oct, Oct - Nov, Nov -Dec) before the extra LCWRA element is paid; it's therefore due for your assessment period 15 Dec 2023 -14 Jan 2024, but, as this is paid in arrears, you should see your 1st payment of the extra LCWRA amount on 21 Jan. Check your next statement to make sure this has been added.
This presumes you're not living with a partner that already has LCWRA as only one LCWRA element is payable in such a situation.
