Hi
I have had a PIP Assessment this morning. I received a text about an hour after the assessment which said the DWP have received the report and a decision will be made within 8 weeks.
I have had a PIP Assessment this morning. I received a text about an hour after the assessment which said the DWP have received the report and a decision will be made within 8 weeks.
I was really nervous about the assessment. The assessor did seem pleasant and willing to listen. I have also sent additional evidence today. I’m a new PIP claimant.
The reason for this post is to ask the following questions.
1. Is it common for the DWP to receive the report so quickly? An hour does seem a bit fast as the process up to now has taken quite sometime.
2. Would this be an indication of how a claim may have gone?
3. Can I ask for a copy of the report? I have read online that I can once it has been sent to the DWP, but I have also read that the DWP can only send this after a decision has been made.
Thank you
