I had a esa review telephone re-assessment originally due earlier today.
Yesterday I called them up as I wanted to update the phone number because they had my mums number instead.
When I called, the guy updated the number but said there was no guarantee the person conducting the assessment would see this update as it is the weekend and they would be working from and conducting the interview from home.
He said the only option for having the call done on the new number was to reschedule the appointment. So I did. I rescheduled for the 12th. Thought that was that.
But then I noticed 3 or 4 missed calls from them this morning and afternoon on my new, updated number.
I called back but they were closed until tomorrow.
Why would they call if the appointment was rescheduled?

Probably for the same reason they might not have seen a number update, all you can do is call them tomorrow.2024 The year of the general election...the time for change is coming 💡

There could be a couple of reasons to what happened. The person you spoke to and changed the date, may not have an actually changed the date but told you they did. Or the person that rang you hadn't seen the change of date.
We can only guess what happened so you will need to ring them in the morning.I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying. If i see a question that i know the answer to i will try my best to help. -
I would ring them up to see what has potentially happened @hughie1. It's possible it wasn't actually rescheduled, the assessor didn't see the reschedule etc.
Let us know how you get on.They/Them, however they are no wrong pronouns with me so whatever you feel most comfortable with
