I am seriously thinking about getting a private diagnosis for autism/ADHD at the age of 31.
I'm a bit concerned as to what company to go for as I worry some may not be legit? Can anyone recommend please? I'm based in Bristol (not sure if this matters as might be done online)
Many thanks!

Heya @zotwiggy23 and welcome to the community, how're you today?
I'm a late diagnosed autistic fellow, so I understand the confusion and apprehension. Have you looked into Right to Choose? It'll still be through the NHS, but will allow you to select who you get diagnosed with, so it can shave years off the wait time. I was diagnosed within a year via video call, so I didnt even need to leave the house.
I had a great experience using Solutions 4 diagnostics and will be writing up an article on Right to Choose later today.0 -
Thank you so much for your reply!
Did you have to make a doctors appointment to get the ball rolling for this? Or do you just apply through the right to choose link? Thanks0 -
No problem at all @zotwiggy23, always happy to help.
It'll all start with a GPs appointment, as they still need to reffer you, but with right to choose, it'll give you a bit more say in where you're referred to. I've made a post about it all here. I hope it helps!0
