Hi all im new here but i need some advice/help if anyone is able to offer it.
So today i received my outcome of the work capability assessment and i have been put in the lcwra group. Would someone please be able to help me and tell me if the lcwra payment is received at the same time as my uc payment? Also, ive tried to figure it out but dates confuse me, can someone also please tell me if i am entitled to any back pay? And when iam likely to receive lcwra payments
I first handed in fit notes from 9th Oct 2023.
I was approved for lcwra on 24th Feb 2024
My assessment periods are 3rd - 2nd each month.
Any help is really appreciated.

Hi @Lioness4124 - & welcome to the community. If this relates to your 1st WCA, then there's a 3 full months waiting period before you're due the extra LCWRA element, i.e. Nov - Dec, Dec - Jan & Jan - Feb. This is therefore due from the assessment period 3 Feb - 2 Mar, but, as this LCWRA element is paid in arrears, then the 1st payment will be 9 Mar. This presumes your fit notes were continuous from 9 Oct, & that you don't live with a partner who already claims a LCWRA element. As the LCWRA element is a part of your UC claim, then it will be paid at the same time. i.e. on the 9th of each month, so check your next statement to make sure it's been added.1

Sorry, I was just editing my comment as you were replying as I saw I'd missed out the fact that the LCWRA element is indeed paid at the same time as your UC. There won't be any back pay.
