I’ll also post the below here as this was a really helpful read on uc and transitional protection

As you already waited a week, I'd put another message on, and do so every few days until someone sorts this out for you.

do I need to mention MR by actual words or is just asking them to relook at award enough?

Can I copy/paste the last message I posted in my uc journal or would it be best to compile a new message (even if just to say look at the last message)

The cynic in me is wondering the point of flooding the uc journal with messages every couple of days if dwp aren’t bothering to read but I guess they may be pinged every new message they get

It be really good if anyone in the same boot could share their experiences

Uc migration has been one stress after another - it’s clear it isn’t ready for mass rollout

I don't think you need to mention MR at this stage, mentioning that TP hasn't been applied to your UC award should be enough.

    update:

in the last hour got a journal message from the dwp saying they couldn’t calculate any transitional protection as they can’t verify my capital

Reading around Google it sound like I will need to book an appointment with the job centre and bring at least the last 3 months of all my bank/savings accounts to get checked (tried phoning them - their line kept cutting out on me so I think I’m going to be forced to leave another journal message)

im racking my brain trying to think of reasons that I may of been disqualified from TP

I claimed uc via managed migration a fortnight before my deadline day (and completed all of the ‘to do list’ before that deadline date - apart from the id check which was delayed till a couple of days after the initial deadline day - though I still think you get tp if you get everything sorted the month after the deadline day)

And my total capital I gave when completing the uc to do list was a few hundred under the £6k lower limit (but even if I did go over £6k I don’t think that would be a big enough change of circumstance to lose me any to)

has anyone else hit this hurdle

I feel like the dwp didn’t trust the info I gave when filling out the uc form on savings/investment and now feel like I’m being treated like a criminal in an interrogation room (my paranoia getting the better of me but I’m reading so many claimants now getting tp off the bat and I don’t know why I’m getting singled out for what looks like further capital checks)

im so fudging stressed as this uc migration seems to be impossible to fully complete stopping me to close the door on this whole stressful ordeal and be able to move on - if I don’t have a break from dwp related issues soon I’m going to have a nervous breakdown

Sorry for the rant - extremely stressed as you can tell

    Hi,

Does anyone know the rough time frame it takes dwp to correct the TPP. I've now had my first 2 payments of UC without it and it hurts.

The excuse they're giving me is that they need to find the start date to my ESA claim, so it seems they're giving random excuses to everyone to hold them back whilst they get their finger out.

Just wondering if anyone knew how many eons it takes for them to get it sorted??
