Assessors report

4 months after initially applying for PIP I finally had my telephone assessment few days ago.
From what I understand the process now is that the assessor will write a report and send it to DWP were a outcome will be reached. I have heard that this process can take up to 12 weeks, is that really true?
As for the assessor's report is it possible for me to get a copy of that report and if so how do I go about getting it.
I should have asked the assessor at the end of interview but I was unaware at the time that it was even possible for me to get a copy.
I would like to see the report as it could possibly give me a insight into the probable outcome and weather I should prepare myself for MR then tribunal.

Yes up to 12 weeks for a decision once the report is returned.
You will need to contact PIP for a copy of the report but they won’t send it out until it’s returned. Please also note that the report is not the decision, it’s a recommendation only. Requesting it very often causes a lot more needless anxiety, even if the report is in your favour and for this reason, very often it’s better to wait for a decision. If you still want to request it the number is herePersonal Independence Payment (PIP)

Just received this. Don't know how much or for how long but anything will help. Was prepared for a long wait but only 5 weeks from telephone assessment to award so a nice surprise. Can't say it's been a pleasant experience and has been very stressful and put of claiming for years because I heard how complicated a process it is but to anyone who like me thought it's to long winded and complicated just do it and if you need help there's plenty out there and just like me it may all turn out good in the end.😁
