We know more than they do

Hi 👋,

Ive been living with chronic pain for over 20 years. The NHS is great at diagnosing, although we do have to wait. But not so great with treatment options. If you also have stomach issues, oral pain meds are often not tolerated well. Nerve injections, acupuncture, physio exercises. All either didn’t work all or in my case made it worse. After a long road, the Pain Specialist basically negated my experience and then abruptly stated, there was nothing more she could do. My pain, as I have learnt through my own research comes from trauma and abuse. Therapy does work to a certain extent, but there has always been a deeper level to it. Almost a cellular pain that I can’t get at to fix. Read a wonderful article about Visceral pain. A good understanding shown, but again no real way to treat it as yet. I feel that medical science has to catch up with me……..
