Hello community! I’d like to talk about something our friends at Almond Tree are doing, but first a little about them!

Who are the Almond Tree Foundation?

The Almond Tree Foundation provides online wellbeing support for families of disabled people. It is aimed towards parents, relatives, partners. Anybody who cares for a disabled person.

They do this via online wellbeing sessions that are available for anyone to sign up, they’re open spaces to discuss your experiences and thoughts around supporting a disabled person. There are also wellbeing webinars on the way we think about disability and the people we care for.

Why an almond tree?

The almond tree is a symbol of hope and renewal. It blossoms early in spring, heralding in the changing of seasons and beginning to the new growing season. In Chinese culture it is a symbol of being strong in difficult, sad times.
