Hi i had a telephone appointment few health conditions they onky spoke about 1 condition was very nice on the phone and said thats all wjats needed no point to talk about my mental health is this normal ?

Heya @samzack and welcome to the community.

I can't say for sure as each persons assessment will be different. If you gave them a lot of information, they may not have needed to ask more about the other conditions, so I'd try not to worry too much about it.

When I had my interview even though there were several mental health conditions they only ever spoke about the physical ones

If the assessor feels there is one condition that will qualify you, they will often focus on that one.
There wouldn't be any point discussing mental health if you have qualified through another condition. Job done already so to speak.1 -

My husband has physical health issues and mental health issues the assesor only spoke about his mental health didn't mention anything else he got awarded esa support group this was a reassessment1

Esa what does this nean ? In on universal credit so not heard if this thank you fir commenting0

ESA is a different benefit to UC. However, you can only claim this if you worked at some point in the last 2 tax years. If you did and you have the correct NI contributions then it would be New style ESA you can claim.samzack said:Esa what does this nean ? There's no financial gain to claiming this and UC at the same time because it's just deducted in full from any UC entitlement.
There are some advantages to claiming it because it's not means tested like UC is. You also receive class 1 NI credits but for UC you will receive class 3.0 -

Hi all after reading posts on here could anybody help me ive been putting sick notes into uc since 2nd of jan 2024 ive only just had a telephone appointment for limited capability for work if im successful to be awarded this will i have to wait 13 weeks for a payment or will these months be taken into an account thanks all0
