Hi I don’t understand the waiting time on pip my friend applied and she had a telephone assesment within two weeks of doing the form but has since been refused , I have been waiting 7 weeks and still haven’t had an assessment should I be worried

Please don't panic, time frames can vary hugely with PIP. I'm sure you'll get your assessment date through soon.1 -
Thank you for your reply, she seems to think I won’t need an assessment because of my all my health issues but I can’t see it being the case0

Most people have assessments, which are mostly by telephone. Paper based assessments are rare but possible.Each individual case is different, even when living in the same area. For this reason you can’t really compare anyone’s claim to your own.0

Thank you for the reply I said exactly the same each case is different and I said I’m pretty sure you have to have one unless sadly you are terminally ill0

It is possible to have a paper based assessment, I had one in 2021 and my daughter had one in 2019 and 2021. Neither of us are terminally ill.0

Thank you for the reply all I have done is an online form so wasn’t sure what happened’s next face to face or phone call assessment and just thought it was strange how my friend had her so quick0
