My new statement has no rent increase applied. I know its in arrears but should have a week in. I messaged and got no answer, can I see on my account if my submitted change has been applied? should I call them?  I am totally confused now.

UC do not pay part increases during any assessment period.

If you’re privately renting then the LHA increases will not apply until your next UC payment, the same as other elements. The first to see the increase will be those with assessment periods that start on or after 8th April.

I find it weird the the LHA doesn't, but if your social/council rent increases mid-month then you receive it in next payment as they base it on your circumstances on the last day of your assessment period. I get how it's different but it still seems weird!!

I called in and they sent me a payment for the money owed, just call in and inform them.

my assessment is from  the 6th of every month till the 7th the following month. The rent increases started on the 1st April, they should owe you some money.
